Turn the ignition switch to the "ACC" position.

7.

Carefully hold the sunshade assembly and have a helper press the sunshade activation button, located on the over-head center console, to fully
open (raise) the sunshade.

Turn the ignition key to the OFF position

9.

Disconnect the vehicle wire harness from the sunshade assembly.

CAUTION:

Use extreme care when performing steps 10 through 24, NOT to damage the sunshade assembly. Many of the sunshade's components (shade cloth,
arms, etc.) can be easily damaged.

10.

Carefully remove the sunshade assembly from the vehicle and place it on a flat, clean work surface.

IMPORTANT:

Hang the motor portion of the sunshade assembly over the edge of the work surface to ensure the sunshade remains flat against the work surface
when performing this procedure.

CAUTION:

Remember to perform the following procedure on one side of the sunshade assembly at a time.

11.

Use diagonal pliers to remove the pin that secures the plastic bracket (see Figure 4).

12.

Pull the arm, with bracket attached, out of the sunshade top rail (see Figure 5).

13.

Use a screwdriver to push the bushing out of the bracket (see Figure 5).
