Disconnect the ASCD cable from the cable clamp assembly located at the bulkhead and LOOSELY tie the ASCD cable to the throttle cable
bracket using a plastic tie-wrap. (Figure 2)

CAUTION
Make sure that the ASCD cable is not tied too tightly.

Drive the vehicle after the engine is fully cold to confirm that the noise has been eliminated. Also, verify that the cruise control functions properly.
