If the front (leading) edge of the rubber bumper is completely "flush" (smooth) with the roof rack bar (see Figure 1), it's OK, so this bulletin
does not apply. Look for other causes of the incident.

b.

If the front (leading) edge of the rubber bumper is NOT completely flush (smooth) with the roof rack bar (see Figure 1), proceed to step 2.

2.

Apply some vinyl tape to the end of a small, straight blade screwdriver (see Figure 2).
