Thermostat: Service and Repair

Removal 

1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System; Service and Repair.
2. Lower the vehicle.

3. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. For additional information, refer to Powertrain Management.

4. Remove the engine cover retaining bracket.
5. Detach the thermostat housing front cover assembly.

6. Remove the thermostat.
