Fuel Filler Door Inoperative - Actuator Binding - Modification Procedure

Issue:

On 2005 S-TYPE vehicles within the above VIN range, when a fault has been confirmed with the fuel filler door actuator, a modification must be carried
out on the new actuator before installation on vehicles within the above VIN range.

Cause: 

Fuel filler door actuator being stressed when installed in housing.

Action:

Before installing, modify the new fuel filler door actuator as follows.

Using a suitable craft knife, remove the two small ribs from the fuel filler door actuator (Illustration 1).
