Install the two spindle housing bolts and tighten to 11 Nm (+/- 1 Nm) [8.1 lbf ft (+/- 0.7 lbf ft)].
^
Install the seat pivot bolt and tighten to 23 Nm (+/- 2.5 Nm) [17 lbf ft (+/- 1.8 lbf ft)].
^
Secure the front seat backrest cover lower tension straps.
^
Refer to GTR Section 501-10 and install the front seat to the vehicle.
NOTE:
This procedure requires IDS DVD105 with the latest Patch Files loaded or later.
CAUTION:
A Midtronics PSC-550 Vehicle Power Supply must be connected to the vehicle battery during diagnosis and module configuration.

Update Seat Software for XK (X150) vehicles as follows:
^
Connect the Midtronics PSC-550 power supply to the vehicle battery.
^
Connect IDS to the vehicle and begin a new diagnostic session, by entering the correct VIN for the current vehicle.
^
Follow the IDS prompts to read the vehicle configuration.
^
When prompted Do you wish to read diagnostic trouble codes? select NO and then press 'tick' to continue.
^
When the Content Model is displayed select Vehicle Configuration tab.
^
Select from the menu 'Set-up and Configuration'.
^
Select Seats from the expanded menu.
^
Select 'Drivers seat calibration' or 'Passenger's seat calibration'.
^
Follow all on-screen instructions to complete this task.
^
When the task is completed, exit the current session.
^
Disconnect IDS and the battery charger/power supply.
^
Operate the seat to extremes of travel five times and verify proper operation.

Update Seat Software for S-TYPE and XJ vehicles as follows:
^
Connect the Midtronics PSC-550 power supply to the vehicle battery.
^
Connect IDS to the vehicle and begin a new diagnostic session, by entering the correct VIN for the current vehicle.
^
When prompted Do you wish to read configuration information from the vehicle?, select NO and then press 'tick' to continue.
^
When prompted Vehicle Configuration Confirmation?, select YES and then press tick to continue.
^
When prompted Do you wish to read diagnostic trouble codes?, select NO and then press 'tick' to continue.
^
When the Content Model is displayed select Vehicle Configuration tab.
^
Select from the menu Set-up and Configuration, and then press 'tick' to continue.
^
Select seat calibration, from the menu and then press 'tick' to continue.
^
Follow all on-screen instructions to complete this task.
^
When the task is completed, exit the current session.
^
Disconnect IDS and the battery charger/power supply.
^
Operate the seat to extremes of travel five times.
