Start engine and verify DSC warning light / message has cleared.

Press the brake pedal hard several times.

If the DSC warning light / message does not return, the fault may be associated with the condition of the harness / DSC module connector.

^

Verify repairs by performing the 'IDS Datalogger Test'.

^

If DTC (B2736) is still stored, proceed to 'Verify Power Supply to Pedal Travel Sensor'.

VERIFY POWER SUPPLY TO PEDAL TRAVEL SENSOR

1.

Switch ignition 'ON'.

2.

Verify supply voltage is 4.7 - 5.3 volts between pedal travel sensor connector harness pins refer to the table shown above.

3.

If pedal travel sensor supply voltage is not within the specified voltage range, check for continuity, short to ground and short to power in the
harness between the pedal travel sensor and the DSC module at connector harness pins refer to the table shown above.

4.

Repair wiring as necessary.

5.

If pedal travel sensor supply voltage is still outside the limits, then the DSC module may be faulty and require replacement.

VERIFY PEDAL TRAVEL SENSOR SIGNAL WIRE INTEGRITY

1.

Check for continuity, short to ground and short to power between the connector pins refer to the table shown above.

2.

Repair wiring as necessary.

3.

Connect all electrical connectors.

VERIFY SYSTEM REPAIRS

1.

Clear DTCs.

2.

Perform an ignition reset.

3.

Start engine and verify DSC warning light / message has cleared.

4.

Press the brake pedal hard several times.

If no DTCs return, the repair is complete.

^

Verify repairs by performing the 'IDS Datalogger Test'.

^

If DTC B2736 is still stored, proceed to 'Install New Brake Booster Pedal Travel Sensor'.
