Sun Visor Mirror Bulb - Now Available Separately - Replacement Procedure

Issue:
This Technical Bulletin has been issued to inform dealers that the sun visor mirror bulb is now available as a separate item. It is no longer necessary to
replace the complete sun visor assembly when the sun visor bulb is inoperative.

Action:

Should a customer express concern, install a new sun visor bulb as outlined below.

1.

Open door.

2.

Reposition sun visor downwards for access.

3.

Using a suitable tool, release the lens/mirror assembly retaining tangs, and remove lens/mirror assembly (Illustration 1).

4.

Remove defective bulb from lens/mirror assembly.

5.

Align and install the new bulb to the sun visor.

Caution: 

Do not install the lens/mirror assembly with the lid fully open.

6.

Install lens/mirror assembly in the sun visor, check operation of sun visor and bulbs.

7.

Close the illuminated sun visor mirror cover.

8.

Reposition the sun visor upwards.
