B-Pillar Side Impact Sensor

Removal

WARNING:

-

To avoid accidental deployment and possible personal injury, the backup power supply must be depleted before repairing or replacing
any air bag supplementary restraints system (SRS) components. To deplete the backup power supply energy, disconnect the battery
ground cable and wait for one minute. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.

Never probe the electrical connectors of the air bag modules or any other SRS component. Failure to follow this instruction may result in
personal injury.

1. Reposition the front seat to the maximum forward position.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Remove the B-pillar lower trim panel.

4. Detach the front seat belt retractor.

5. Disconnect the B-pillar side impact sensor electrical connector.

6. Remove the B-pillar side impact sensor.

Installation

Make sure the side impact sensor locating tangs are correctly located into the B-pillar. Failure to follow this instruction may result in
personal injury.
