Rear Sensor Lead Incorrect Routing -
Replace/Reroute Lead

Issue:
Some 2005 MY S-TYPE vehicles within the above VIN range, may exhibit a condition where the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) malfunction indicator
lamp (MIL) is illuminated, with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) C1175 (left-hand rear) or C1165 (right-hand rear) stored. This can be caused by
incorrect routing of the rear ABS sensor lead, causing abrasion of the wire and water ingress.

Action:
In case of a customer complaint of the above condition, install and reroute a new rear ABS sensor lead following the procedure below.

1.

Remove rear wheel (GTR Workshop Manual, section: 204-04). 

Caution: 

Make sure the ignition is in the "OFF" position before disconnecting the rear wheel speed sensor electrical connector.

Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor electrical connector (Illustration 1).
