Lower Steering Column Area Whistle Noise - Transfer Pipe Flush "Rush" - Install Revised Steering Rack

Issue:

This bulletin addresses customer concerns of a whistle noise emanating from the lower steering column area, when the steering wheel is moved quickly
at low speeds, (lock-to-lock) when maneuvering into a parking space. This concern can be caused by the rush of fluid through the transfer pipe.

Note:

This bulletin is for a "whistle" noise only, if there is a "squeak" emanating from the lower steering column area, refer to Technical Bulletin S211-04.

Action:

In case of a verified customer complaint of the above condition, install a new steering gear, with modified transfer pipe drilling. Refer to Global
