Re-evaluate the vehicle to determine if further action is required.

If the vibration remains and the vehicle has previously had a new differential installed, check to verify that the modified bushing (black top) is
installed.

NOTE:

Global Technical Reference (GTR) lookup sequence is as follows:

GTR Home > NAS > X200 S-TYPE / Service Information/ 2006 > Workshop Manuals > Bookmark "Chassis/Driveline/205-02 Rear Drive
Axle/Differential" LINKS "Removal and Installation Axle Assembly (51.25.13)" and "Axle Housing Bushing (64.25.30)"

If the new bushing is not installed, perform the following:

Refer to GTR Section 51.25.13 and remove the Axle.

Refer to GTR Section 64.25.30 and install a new rear axle housing bushing.

^

Re-install the Axle.

6.

Test the vehicle.

7.

If the whine is still prefer to GTR and install a new differential insuring it contains the new style "black" bushing.
