KEY POINTS:
INTERMITTENT FUEL PUMP OPERATION
When investigating a no-start or intermittent no-start condition, it is possible that connector LB 28 has a poor inner pin connection that visually cannot
be detected without separating connector LB 28.
Connector LB 28, a 6-way Pm 4, (yellow), is located behind the R/S dash liner.
Pin Inspection:
The female pins of LB 28 should be inspected for proper closure. If the pins are open too wide, (resembling the letter "C"), insufficient contact may
result causing the no-start condition or intermittent no-start condition.
NOTE:
Pin 2 of LB 28, a blue wire/red trace, is the feed wire from relay to pump.
After inspecting, ensure that the connection is fully located and secured.
