REVISED INSTRUMENT PACKS
A revised instrument pack (DBC 3157/R) is now available and will be shipped to all dealers based on new vehicle sales.
Initial dealer supply of instrument packs will be replaced only when a defective unit is returned by the dealer and received at Lucas Industries for repair.
An instrument pack should be replaced under warranty once it has been determined that it is a defective or early type instrument pack.
CAUTION: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD AN INSTRUMENT PACK BE DISCONNECTED WHILE THE IGNITION IS TURNED
ON.
Instrument packs can be identified by using the following procedure:
INSTRUMENT PACK IDENTIFICATION PROCEDURE:
1.
With the ignition key turned to the "on" position, hold down the trip computer "clear" button.
2.
With the "clear" button held down, move the MPH/KPH switch from MPH to KPH and then back to MPH.
3.
The Instrument Pack serial number will then appear in the trip computer display window.
The range of faulty instrument pack serial numbers are as follows:
0
- 41600
41900 - 45000
If no number appears in the display window, this also indicates a faulty instrument pack.
NOTE:
Instrument packs in the no-fault number range should only be replaced when a reported defect is verified. Claims for these packs
should be fault coded appropriately.
The rebuilt instrument pack will arrive in a transit cowl assembly for protection only, and is to be removed and refitted to the defective unit. A completed
warranty claim tag, identifying the actual instrument pack fault, should be attached to the defective unit.

In addition, the provided odometer notice (Fig. 1) sticker should be filled out and adhered to the new instrument pack.

Use provided packing material and return label for immediate return of displaced unit.
