Ball Joint: Service and Repair
Wishbone Rear Arm and Ball Joint - Lower

Removal CAUTION:  Replacement of nuts and bolts: Various thread-locking devices are used on nuts and bolts throughout the vehicle. These
devices restrict the number of times a nut or bolt can be used. 

1. Raise front of vehicle and support on stands. 
2. Remove appropriate road wheel. 

3. CAUTION:  Do not suspend caliper from brake hose as this will damage the hose.

Remove brake calipers from carriers.
Remove caliper spring clip.
Remove guide pin dust caps.
Slacken and withdraw guide pins.
Remove caliper from carrier and tie to suspension mounting bracket.

4. Raise vehicle further to provide access for Special Tool 204-111 and support on stands.
