Inspect the brake booster vacuum hose check valve for deterioration (Illustration 1).

Note:

Deterioration will be seen as white deposits on the exterior of the check valve. If deterioration is seen continue from step 3. If no deterioration
is seen investigate brake vacuum system for fault, and any repairs are to be carried out as a separate Warranty Claim.

Displace and remove the vacuum sensor tube from the brake booster vacuum hose if installed.

Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose at the intake manifold by pressing down to release the securing clip.
