CONDITION SUMMARY:

NEW WORKSHOP PROCEDURE TO REMOVE AND INSTALL THE TRANSFER CASE

This bulletin has been issued to inform Authorized Repairers of a change in the workshop procedure to remove and install the transfer case.

NOTE:

This new workshop procedure is effective for ALL workshop repair procedures that require a transfer case removal and installation.

Situation: 

The current workshop procedure calls for the removal of the front subframe. The new workshop procedure leaves the front subframe in place.

Action: 

In the event a transfer case is to be replaced, refer to the GTR Repair Procedure referenced in this bulletin to remove and install a new transfer case
assembly.
