Shifter A/T: Testing and Inspection

External Controls 

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the system.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

WARNING:  DANGER OF ACCIDENT. APPLY THE PARKING BRAKE. SHIFT THE GEAR SELECTOR LEVER TO "P".
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.

3. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
4. If the concern is not visually evident, verify the symptom and refer to the approved Jaguar diagnostic system.
