SAFETY RECALL: J007 - Rear Seat Belt D-rings

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation: 

A concern has been identified with the fitting process used in vehicle manufacture in relation to both rear seat belts D-rings on a number of 2009 model
year Jaguar XF vehicles. A minority of these vehicles may have had the seat belt D-rings fitted where the D-ring may not freely rotate. The seat belt may
not run freely when the rear seat belts are being pulled out and, should a vehicle suffer a moderate to heavy frontal impact, the rear seat occupants may
not be fully restrained, increasing the risk of injury to the front and rear seat passengers.

Action: 

Sold vehicles are subject to the standard customer Recall notification. Refer to Service Bulletins 7-52CAN, 7-52USA, 7-53CAN and 7-53USA for
further information. Dealers are to follow the Repair Procedure outlined below to inspect and, if necessary, repair the left and right-hand rear seat belt
D-rings.
