Brake Fluid Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVE

NOTE: Read the notes relating to the ABS system bleed procedure before commencing this operation.

1. Discharge the hydraulic accumulator by operating the brake pedal approximately 20 times, until the pedal goes hard.
2. Open the bonnet.  Place suitable absorbent material around the reservoir area to catch any spilt fluid.

3. Remove the low pressure hose to pump securing clip, disconnect the hose, remove and discard the O-ring.
4. Route the end of the hose into a container.
5. Drain the fluid.

6. Disconnect the pressure warning switch and motor multi plugs.

7. Disconnect the bundy pipe at the motor/pump unit end.
