Sunroof / Moonroof Weatherstrip: Service and Repair

SLIDING ROOF PANEL SEAL:

-

Remove sliding roof trim panel for access.

-

Remove sliding roof panel for access.

-

Undo and remove sliding roof panel securing screws and remove panel / seal assembly (Image).

-

Displace and remove seal from sliding roof panel.

-

Clean sliding roof panel flange thoroughly

-

Fit and seat new seal to the sliding roof panel flange ensuring that seal joint is central at the rear of the panel flange.

-

Using a junior hacksaw, carefully cut off any excess seal ensuring that the seal ends butt together.

NOTE:  Prior to using crimping tool, ensure seal is correctly seated.

-

Crimp into position using tool JD 200, rotating tool jaw as required.

-

Repeat crimping operation a second time to ensure a continuous crimp.

-

Refit all remaining components in the reverse order of removal procedure.
