Check the check arm-to-body fixing (torx) bolts are torqued to 13.5 Nm (10 lbf.ft) +/- 2.1 Nm (1.5 lbf.ft).

Check the check arm-to-door fixing (hex) nuts (see illustration 1) are torqued to 12 Nm (8.5 lbf.ft) +/- 1.8 Nm (1.5 lbf.ft).

Open and close the door to make sure that the check arm noise has been eliminated. If not, proceed to step 5.

Install new rear door check arm

Open rear door.

Remove the check arm-to-body bolts.

Remove the check arm-to-door nuts.

Displace and reposition the door check arm rearwards.

9.

Remove door check arm.

10.

Install the new door check arm.

11.

Install the check arm-to-body bolts and torque to 13.5 Nm (10 lbf.ft) +/- 2.1 Nm (1.5 lbf.ft).

12.

Install the check arm-to-door nuts and torque to 12 Nm (8.5 lbf.ft) +/- 1.8 Nm (1.5 lbf.ft).

13.

Open and close the door to make sure that the check arm noise has been eliminated. If the concern still persists, please submit an electronic
product quality report (EPQR).

Open front door.
