ISSUE:

Some 1995 MY Sedan Range vehicles, within the above VIN range, may experience a noise that the customer reports as coming from the right side of
the fascia. The source of the noise may actually be in the engine compartment and be caused by contact between a brake line and the bulkhead or
between two adjacent brake lines.

Starting with VIN 736561, isolating foam pads were introduced in production.

ACTION:

If a customer reports a noise from the right side fascia on a 1995 MY Sedan Range vehicle within the above VIN range, check if the noise described by
the customer can be reproduced by gently striking the ABS hydraulic unit with the hand as shown in Illustration 1.

After verifying the actual source of a customer complaint of fascia noise, proceed as follows:

APPLYING ISOLATING PADS AND CLIP TO BRAKE LINES

Clean the surface of the bulkhead and apply two closed cell foam pads (part no. HNA 1210BA) to the locations shown in Illustration 1, to prevent
direct contact between the pipes and the bulkhead.
