Drive Belt: Service and Repair
Supercharger Belt, Tensioner Bracket

SUPERCHARGER DRIVE BELT TENSIONER BRACKET; RENEW

-

Raise the vehicle on a ramp.

-

Remove the supercharger drive belt.

-

Remove the drive belt tensioner pulley from the tensioner bracket.

-

Remove the bolts securing the tensioner bracket (5 Fig. 1) to the adapter casting.

-

Release the bolt securing the tensioner bracket to the water pump and remove the bracket, bolt and distance piece.

-

Remove the securing bolt and distance piece from the bracket.

-

Remove the pulley carrier and adjusting bolt from the bracket and discard the bracket.

-

Fit the pulley carrier and adjusting bolt to a new tensioner bracket.

-

Fit the water pump securing bolt and distance piece to the tensioner bracket.

-

Position the tensioner bracket, bolt and distance piece. Fit, but do not tighten, the securing bolt.

-

Fit and tighten the bolts securing the tensioner bracket to the adapter casting.

-

Finally tighten the bolt securing the tensioner bracket to the water pump.

-

Fit the drive belt tensioner pulley to the tensioner bracket.

-

Fit the supercharger drive belt.

-

Lower the vehicle on the ramp.
