ISSUE:

RECALL CAMPAIGN R607

Jaguar Cars Limited has determined that a limited number of 1995 XJ Sedan Range vehicles have had incorrect specification steering rod retaining nuts
fitted. There is the potential that the nuts could loosen during normal driving.

Loosening of the steering rod retaining nuts would be identified by increased free play in the steering and a knocking noise from the front suspension. If
the nuts were to come off, the ability to steer the vehicle would be lost.

DEALER CAMPAIGN LIST

Dealer Campaign List showing affected vehicles not included that were invoiced to you.

If a campaign list is not enclosed, then according to Jaguar records, you did not receive any affected vehicles.

You may be required to perform recall campaign work on a Jaguar that was not invoiced to your dealership. If this occurs, normal repair procedures
should be followed.

OWNER NOTIFICATION

All owners on record will be issued recall notifications via first class mail. 

Owners will be asked to contact their selling dealer (or nearest authorized dealer) and make an appointment to have the campaign procedure performed.
The will also be asked to sign and return the "Campaign Claim" form to the dealer.

ACTION:

Perform the following procedure as soon as possible on vehicles which are affected by Recall Campaign R607.
