Seat Heater: Service and Repair
Squab Heater
Removal
1. Remove battery cover and disconnect ground cable from battery. See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Battery Cable/Negative/Service and Repair
WARNING: FOLLOWING DISCONNECTION OF THE BATTERY A PERIOD OF AT LEAST ONE MINUTE MUST BE
ALLOWED TO ELAPSE BEFORE WORKING ON A FRONT SEAT WITH A SIDE AIRBAG FITTED.
2. Remove front seat for access. See: Service and Repair
3. Remove seat back finisher. See: Seat Back/Service and Repair
4. Remove front seat headrest. See: Head Rest/Service and Repair
5. Remove front seat squab cover. See: Seat Cover/Service and Repair
6. Routing multiplug though aperture, carefully release squab heater adhesive strips from squab pad.
Installation
1
Remove protective backing paper from heater self adhesive strips.
2. Align heater to pad and apply firm pressure to ensure adhesion.
3. Route heater harness through pad aperture.
4. Position squab cover over squab pad and heater element, ensuring that headrest guides pass through pad.
5. Connect heater harness multiplug and position multiplug in mounting bracket.
6. Fit squab cover and pad. See: Seat Cover/Service and Repair
7. Fit seat back finisher. See: Seat Back/Service and Repair
8. Fit headrest. See: Head Rest/Service and Repair
9. Install front seat in vehicle. See: Service and Repair
10. Connect ground cable to battery terminal and fit battery cover. See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair
