Warranty Information:
A. Checking Serial Number of Final Drive Unit
The following initial check applies to all XK8 vehicles within the VIN range 001531-006306.
1.
Raise the vehicle on a 2-post lift.
2.
Determine the serial number of the final drive unit which is stamped on the vertical face on the right hand side of the final drive unit housing,
facing toward the rear. It can be seen from the rear of the vehicle, located 75 mm (3 inches) to the right of the oil filler level plug.
