Behind the liner, locate and disconnect the connector for the harness from the CHMSL to the luggage compartment harness (Illustration 2).

4.

Remove the blanking plugs in the forward edge of the luggage compartment lid (Illustration 3).

5.

Remove the nuts securing the CHMSL to the luggage compartment lid (Illustration 4).

6.

Remove the CHMSL from the luggage compartment lid, routing the harness through the opening.

7.

Place the CHMSL assembly to one side.

8.

Align and install the newly painted CHMSL cover on the revised CHMSL.

9.

Route the CHMSL harness through the opening in the luggage compartment lid.

10.

Reposition and install the CHMSL on the luggage compartment lid.

11.

Tighten the nuts securing the CHMSL to the luggage compartment lid.

12.

Insert and fully seat the blanking plugs.

13.

Reconnect the CHMSL harness connector.

14.

Insert and fully seat the securing fasteners for the luggage compartment lid liner.

15.

Close the luggage compartment
