Connect the IDS to the vehicle and begin a new diagnostic session by entering the correct VIN for the current vehicle.

Follow the IDS prompts to read the vehicle configuration.

Select 'No' when prompted 'Do you wish to read diagnostic trouble codes?'

Select 'tick' to continue

6.

Select '204-00 Suspension system' when the 'Content Model' is displayed.

7.

Select '204-05 Vehicle dynamic suspension' from the drop-down menu.

8.

Select 'Datalogger' function.

9.

Select 'Signal grouping for diagnostic trouble code B2736'.

10.

Select 'Brake pedal travel offset - not corrected' from the drop-down menu.

11.

Select 'Signal add/remove' icon.

12.

In the 'Display range' (using the '+, -' icons), set to 30 mm in the Maximum (max.) section and 0.00 in the Minimum (min) section.

13.

Follow all on-screen instructions to complete this task.

INSPECT BRAKE BOOSTER PEDAL TRAVEL SENSOR AND DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL MODULE (DSCM) CONNECTORS

NOTE:

Refer to Global Technical Reference (GTR) section 'Electrical Guides' for all connector locations.

1.

Remove the brake booster pedal travel sensor connector (S-TYPE: FH11; XJ: EC10; XK: AL4).

Inspect for signs of corrosion on the three sensor male pins and the harness female connectors.

^

Inspect for backed-out female pins.

2.

Repair as necessary.

3.

Install the harness connector to the pedal travel sensor.

4.

Clear DTC's.

5.

Start engine and verify DSC warning light / message has cleared.

6.

Press the brake pedal hard several times.

If the DSC warning light / message does not return, the fault may be associated with the condition of the harness / pedal travel sensor
connector.

^

Verify repairs by performing the 'IDS Datalogger Test'.

^

If DTC (B2736) is still stored, proceed to step 7.

7.

Remove DSC module connector (S-TYPE: FH103; XJ: EC30; XK: LF37).

^

Inspect for water ingress, corrosion and backed-out pins at the areas shown in the table above.

8.

Repair as necessary.

9.

Install the DSC module connector.

10.

Clear DTC's.
