CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation:
A Brake Booster Travel Sensor is now available as a serviceable part. On initial diagnosis with IDS, Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B2736 - Pedal
Travel Sensor Circuit Failure may be stored in the Dynamic Stability Control Module (DSCM). This fault may be caused by a faulty brake booster travel
sensor.
Action:
In the event of a customer concern of the above, follow the Diagnostic Procedure outlined below and, if necessary, replace the Brake Booster Pedal
Travel Sensor.

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
IDS DATA LOGGER TEST
IDS data logger can be used to monitor the real time movement of the sensor position when the brake pedal is pressed (via the brake pedal travel
offset-not corrected output signal). This is best measured with the scale set to 0 > 30 mm. Monitor the progression of movement when the brake
pedal is pressed. No movement or any erratic / notchy movement of the sensor output signal will confirm the fault.
CAUTION:
A Midtronics PSC-550 Vehicle Power Supply must be connected to the vehicle battery during diagnosis.

Connect the Midtronics PSC-550 power supply to the vehicle battery.
NOTE:
IDS with latest IDS DVD Patch File is required.
