XKR Convertible (X100) V8-4.0L SC (AJ27) (2001)
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
Remove the battery cover.
2. Remove the left-hand valve cover, For additional information, refer to Valve Cover LH See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Valve Cover/Service and

3. Raise the vehicle on a ramp.
4. Remove the crankshaft position sensor.
Remove the bolt which secures the crankshaft position sensor to the flywheel housing.
Remove the sensor and allow it to hang free under the engine.
Remove the access grommet (for torque converter bolts) from the housing.
5. Caution: Do not rotate the crankshaft counterclockwise. The timing chains may bind causing engine damage.
Position the crankshaft so the timing slot on the drive plate is visible through the CKP sensor location
