A-Bank Camshaft Sensor Harness Contacting EGR Pipe - Check/Install Tie Strap - Service Action S704

Issue:

Some XJR supercharged vehicles within the above VIN range may have the camshaft sensor harness tie strap missing. This may result in the harness
hanging down and coming into contact with the EGR transfer pipe.

Action:

At the next service opportunity, check all XJR supercharged vehicles listed in the VIN list for the tie strap. If no tie strap is present, install a new tie strap
to eliminate this concern.

TIE STRAP CHECK

1.

Open the hood and place protective covers over the fenders.

2.

Look down into the area shown in Illustration 1.
