Starter Removal
1.
Disconnect battery negative cable.
2.
Disconnect starter solenoid wires on starter motor.
3.
Remove starter upper support bracket (attached to starter and engine block).
4.
Support left side of engine and remove left side engine mount.
5.
Remove starter lower rear support bracket (attached to starter and engine block).
6.
Remove starter attaching bolts and remove stater.
Starter Installation
1.
Install starter. Be sure starter locating dowel is properly seated in the hole. Install starter mounting bolts, HAND TIGHT ONLY at this time.
2.
Install starter upper and lower support brackets, but DO NOT TIGHTEN bracket bolts at this time.
3.
Tighten starter mounting bolts to specified torque. Then, tighten starter upper and lower support bracket bolts.
4.
Install left side engine mount. Tighten the mount bolts to specified torque.
5.
Connect starter solenoid wires and battery negative cable.
