Auxiliary Power Outlet: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery post.

2. Look inside power outlet / cigar lighter and note the position of the retaining bosses (Fig. 13). These bosses can be identified by there small square
shape.
3. Using external snap ring pliers with 90 degree tips. Insert pliers with tips aligned up against the bosses and squeeze forcing bosses out of base.
4. Pull the base out through mounting ring by gently rocking pliers back and forth.
5. Disconnect the power outlet / cigar lighter electrical connector.
6. Set base aside and remove base mount ring.
INSTALLATION
1. Install base mount ring.
2. Connect the power outlet / cigar lighter electrical connector.
3. Firmly snap the power outlet / cigar lighter into position.
4. Connect the negative battery cable on the battery post.
