NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH THE 2.5L ENGINE ONLY.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some vehicles may exhibit an engine idle vibration felt in the steering column, floor and/or seats.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using the DRBII (Scan Tool ) and the applicable diagnostic procedure manual, verify that the vehicle engine systems are functioning as designed. If fault
codes (Diagnostic Fault Messages) are present, record them on the repair order for future reference, and repair as necessary. If no fault codes are present
and all the engine systems are functioning as designed, proceed to the repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This repair involves replacing the right side engine mount assembly.
1.
Remove the alternator for accessability and then the right side engine mount assembly as described in the appropriate service manual. In the
1992 Service Manual, Publication No. 81-370-2146, Page 8B - 6, the removal and installation procedures for the alternator on the 2.5L
engine are under the heading "ALL YJ WITH 4.0L AND XJ/MJ WITH 2.5L Engine".
