Commander 2WD V8-4.7L Flex Fuel (2009)
1. Position the rear mode door actuator (1) onto the back of the rear HVAC housing (2). If necessary, rotate the actuator slightly to align the splines
on the actuator output shaft (4) with those in the rear mode door pivot shaft (3).
2. Install the two screws (4) that secure the rear mode door actuator (2) to the rear HVAC housing (1). Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.).
3. Connect the rear HVAC wire harness connector (2) to the rear mode door actuator.
4. Install the rear HVAC housing .
5. Initiate the Actuator Calibration function using a scan tool See: Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/HVAC System

REMOVAL
WARNING: Disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column or instrument panel component diagnosis or
service. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to
discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to follow
these instructions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.
