HELP USING THE wiTECH DIAGNOSTIC APPLICATION FOR FLASHING AN ECU IS AVAILABLE BY SELECTING "HELP" THEN "HELP
CONTENTS" AT THE TOP OF THE wiTECH DIAGNOSTIC APPLICATION WINDOW.
THE wiTECH SOFTWARE LEVEL MUST BE AT RELEASE 11.01 OR HIGHER TO PERFORM THIS PROCEDURE.

Flash: MIL Illumination For PO5OD - Cold Start Rough Idle
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves flash reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with new software.

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to:
a. 2010 RT vehicles built with a 4.0L engine (sales code EGQ) and a 62TE transmission (sales code DG2) before December 09, 2009
(MDH1209XX).
b. 2008 and 2009 RT vehicles built with a 62TE transmission (sales code DG2).
c. 2009 WK, WH, XK and XH vehicles equipped with a 4.7L engine (Sales code EVE) and a 545RFE automatic transmission (Sales code DGQ).
d. 2010 JS or JC vehicles 3.5L or 2.7L engine (Sales Codes EGF or EER) built before December 17, 2009 (MDH 1217XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some customers may complain of a MIL illumination. Upon further investigation the Technician may find that PO50D - Cold Start Rough Idle has been
set.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify all engine systems are functioning as
designed. If DTC's other then the one listed above are present record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this
bulletin.
If the vehicle operator describes or experiences the Symptom/Condition, perform the Repair Procedure.
