Air Duct: Service and Repair
Front Floor Console Ducts - Removal
REMOVAL
NOTE: Illustration shown with instrument panel removed for clarity.
1. Remove the floor console from the passenger compartment See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Floor
Console - Removal.
2. Disengage the retainer (1) that secures the front console duct (2) to the gear selector (3).
3. Disconnect the front console duct from the air distribution housing (4) and remove the console duct.
Front Floor Console Ducts - Installation
INSTALLATION
NOTE: Illustration shown with instrument panel removed for clarity.
1. Position the floor console duct (2) into the vehicle.
2. Connect the front console duct to the air distribution housing (4) and engage the retainer (1) to the gear selector (3).
3. Install the floor console See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Floor Console - Installation.
Front Floor Distribution Ducts - Removal
REMOVAL
WARNING: Disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, or instrument panel component diagnosis or
service. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before
performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the proper precautions could
result in accidental airbag deployment and possible personal injury or death.
