Rear View Camera Appears Inoperative, Intermittent Or Image Is Distorted

DISCUSSION:
The rear view camera may be described as inoperative, intermittent or as having a distorted image. These symptoms are most likely NOT the result of a
defect with the camera itself. Check the light bar wiring harness for issues, such as, terminal pin push outs, circuits pinned to the wrong cavity, or
terminals that were over crimped causing fractured wires prior to replacing any rear view camera system components.
Please also be aware the camera can be disabled for the duration of the key on cycle if the transmission is shifted into reverse too quickly after engine
start up. If the vehicle operator waits until the clock is displayed on the screen (radio off) or until the vehicle brand (Jeep) screen is displayed, the system
will work.
