Commander 4WD V8-4.7L VIN N (2006)
1. If removed, lubricate new rubber O-ring seals with clean engine coolant and install them onto the heater core tube fittings. Use only the specified
O-rings as they are made of a special material for the engine cooling system.
2. If removed, install the heater core tubes onto the rear heater core (2) and install the two retaining clamps. Make sure that the clamps are installed
correctly and securely.
3. Install the rear heater core into the end of the rear HVAC housing (3). Make sure that the foam seals are properly installed and that the two
retaining tabs (1) are fully engaged.
4. Partially bend the inner half of the flange (2) located at the bottom of the rear HVAC housing (3) downward and install the heater core tubes (4)
into the flange.
5. Install the foam seal (1) onto the flange. If the seal is deformed or damaged, it must be replaced.
NOTE: If the heater core is being replaced, flush the cooling system.
6. Install the rear HVAC housing.
