Intermittent Or No Sound From The Left Side On Premium Audio Systems
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Front Control Module (FCM) with new software.

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to all subject vehicles equipped with Premium Audio System only (sales code RC6 and RD7)
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The vehicle operator may notice that there is intermittent loss of sound from the left side speakers at times. The condition may last anywhere from a few
minutes to several hours in duration.
DIAGNOSIS:
1.
Connect STAR Scan to vehicle
2.
Turn Ignition Key on
3.
Inspect for the part number of the radio amplifier.
4.
Is the part number of the radio amplifier 0506411 8AG or higher?
a.
NO >> This bulletin does not apply. Further diagnosis is required.
b. YES >> proceed to Step # 5.
5.
Inspect the software level of the FCM.
6.
Is the software level of the FCM 04692024AG or earlier?
a.
NO >> STOP. This bulletin does not apply. Further diagnosis is required.
b.
YES >> Perform the repair procedure below.
