Starter Motor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.

3. Remove the lower (forward facing) mounting screw securing the starter motor to the automatic transmission torque converter housing (Fig. 9) or
(Fig. 10).
4. While supporting the starter motor with one hand, use the other hand to remove the upper (rear facing) mounting screw securing the starter motor
to the automatic transmission torque converter housing.
