Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

1.

Remove intake manifold as outlined.

2.

Disconnect exhaust pipe from manifold.

3.

Disconnect electrical connector from oxygen sensor and remove sensor, if equipped.

4.

Remove nuts from end studs, then the exhaust manifold.

5.

Mount manifold on end studs and tighten retaining nuts hand tight.

6.

Clean threads in oxygen sensor bore, coat sensor threads with suitable anti-seize compound, install sensor and torque to 35 ft. lbs.

7.

Connect exhaust pipe to manifold.

8.

Reinstall intake manifold and torque retaining bolts and nuts to specifications as outlined.
