Hum-Like Sound From Left Rear Door Speaker
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves installing a twisted pair jumper harness for the left rear speaker.

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles built prior to September 16, 2004 (MDH 0916xx).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
A customer may experience a hum-like sound coming from the left rear door speaker. The hum-like sound may be heard when the radio volume is turned
down or during normal sound volume when the radio is tuned to a talk radio station. This condition may be due to electrial inductance (interference) into
the left rear radio harness wires.
DIAGNOSIS:
Turn the radio on and adjust the sound to low volume. If the hum-like condition is present perform the Repair Procedure.

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable from the battery.
