Glove Compartment: Service and Repair

Glove Box Door Latch - Removal

REMOVAL

1. Before proceeding with the following repair procedure, review all warnings and cautions. See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service Precautions
2. Remove the glove box, See: Instrument Panel Glove Box - Removal.
3. Remove the three screws and remove the glove box latch.

Glove Box Door Latch - Installation

INSTALLATION

1. Before proceeding with the following repair procedure, review all warnings and cautions. See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service Precautions
2. Position the latch to the glove box.
3. Install the three screws.
4. Install the glove box, See: Instrument Panel Glove Box - Installation.

Glove Box Door Latch Striker - Removal

REMOVAL

1. Before proceeding with the following repair procedure, review all warnings and cautions. See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service Precautions
2. Open the glove box.
3. Remove the two striker screws and remove the latch striker.

Glove Box Door Latch Striker - Installation

INSTALLATION

1. Before proceeding with the following repair procedure, review all warnings and cautions. See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service Precautions
2. Install the striker and install the two screws.
3. Loosen the screws to adjust if necessary.

Instrument Panel Glove Box - Removal

REMOVAL

1. Before proceeding with the following repair procedure, review all warnings and cautions. See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service Precautions
2. Open the glove box.
3. Squeeze the stop tabs located on the sides of the box while and swing the glove box door open.
4. With box in the full down position slide the box to the right off of the hinges and remove.

Instrument Panel Glove Box - Installation

INSTALLATION

1. Before proceeding with the following repair procedure, review all warnings and cautions. See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service Precautions.
2. Position the box on and slide the box to the left to engage the hinges.
3. Close the glove box.
