10. Remove the stabilizer link bolt (2) at the lower control armSee: Stabilizer Bar/Stabilizer Link/Service and Repair/Front Stabilizer Bar Link -

Removal.

11. Remove the upper ball joint nut.
12. Separate the upper ball joint from the knuckle (3) using remover 9360 (2).

13. Push downward on the steering knuckle (3) and support the knuckle (4) this will allow access to remove the shock.
14. Remove the shock assembly (1) from the vehicle. 
15. Remove the spring from the shock (if needed) See: Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf )/Service and Repair/Front Coil Spring - Removal.
