Flash: Full ESP Off Function
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Anti Lock Brake/Electronic Stability Module (ABS) with new software.

This bulletin applies to 4x4 vehicles equipped with Electronic Stability Program (sales code BNB).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some customers may notice that they are unable to invoke the ESP Off feature. Pressing and holding the ESP button for five seconds the customer will
not see the "ESP OFF" verbiage displayed in the Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) and no "Car Icon" light that is on all the time in the
cluster, as described in the Owners' Manual.
Normal operation of the ESP Off is confirmed by a single warning chime and a text message in the odometer display "ESP FULL OFF." The system can
be returned to "normal Full-On mode by briefly pressing and releasing the ESP Off switch. The switch resets itself each time the ignition is cycled.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (StarSCAN(R)) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify all Systems are functioning as
designed. If DTC's are present record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.
If the vehicle operator describes the Symptom/Condition, perform the Repair Procedure.
