Defroster Duct - Removal
REMOVAL
WARNING: Disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column or instrument panel component diagnosis or
service. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to
discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to follow
these instructions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.

1. Remove the upper and lower instrument panel cover See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Instrument Panel Cover - Removal.
2. Disconnect the left and right demister hoses (1 and 3) from the defroster duct (2) and position the hoses out of the way.
3. Remove the defroster duct from the top of the instrument panel (4).

1. Position the defroster duct (2) into the top of the instrument panel (4).
2. Connect the left and right demister hoses (1 and 3) to the defroster duct.
