Fuel Injector Components
1.
Lubricate the replacement lower "O" ring with silicone dielectric grease, and install it into the bottom of the housing bore.

Lubricate the replacement upper "O" ring with silicone dielectric grease, and install it into the housing bore. Install the centering ring on top of the
upper "O" ring.
NOTE: When using injector installation tool # 6172 to install the lower injector O-ring, the throttle plate of the throttle body must be closed.

Position bottom of installation tool # 6172 on top of the lower injector O-ring.

Position the locating tab on the bottom of the injector with the slot in the bottom of the housing. Lower the injector until the discharge nozzle
slides into the hole in the center of installation tool # 6172.
5.
Push injector into the throttle body bore until installation tool # 6172 drops onto the throttle valve and the injector seats in the throttle body.
6.
Use a magnet to remove installation tool # 6172 from the throttle body.
7.
Install the injector retainer and tighten the mounting screws securely.
8.
Reconnect the injector electrical connector, and install the lower and upper air inlet bonnets.
9.
Install the fuel filler cap.
10.
Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
