Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair
Fuel Rail Assembly
NOTE: The fuel rail assembly must be removed to service the fuel pressure regulator, and fuel system pressure must be released, prior to any service of
fuel injection components. Refer to FUEL RAIL and MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES for the proper procedures.
REMOVAL
1.
Remove the fuel rail assembly, refer to FUEL RAIL for the correct procedure.
2.
Remove the fuel pressure regulator mounting screws, and remove the regulator from the fuel rail.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install a new black "O" ring on the fuel pressure regulator, and install the regulator onto the fuel rail assembly. Install and tighten the mounting
nuts securely.
2.
Install the fuel rail assembly, refer to FUEL RAIL for the proper procedure.
